Does using less nanoparticle coating settle the decision?

A hospital is considering door handles coated with nanoparticles. Tests report that the coating uses 90% less active material than a bulk-material coating but lasts equally long. The effects of nanoparticles entering wastewater are not yet known. Evaluate whether the coating should be adopted.
