Constructing the Reflected Ray
A car headlight has a lamp, a reflective surface and a transparent cover. Figure 4 shows a ray of light incident on the reflective surface.
Complete Figure 4 to show the reflected ray of light. You should include the normal line at the point where the incident ray meets the reflecting surface.

- 1 Draws the normal at the point of incidence.
- 2 Draws the reflected ray with angle of reflection equal to angle of incidence.
Why this answer loses marks
Draws a reflected ray by eye but leaves out the normal.
The normal earns a separate mark and provides the reference needed to make the two angles equal.
