Marking points
- 1 Link tree shade to lower light intensity.
- 2 State that lower light reduces photosynthesis.
- 3 Link photosynthesis to glucose/protein production for growth.
Full-mark answer
Near the tree, leaves block light so less light reaches the plants. Less light means less photosynthesis, so less glucose/protein is made for growth.
