Marking points

  1. 1 Places one shared electron pair in each of the three N–H overlaps.
  2. 2 Places one lone pair, two non-bonding electrons, on nitrogen.

Full-mark answer

Add one shared pair of electrons in each of the three overlaps between N and H, and add one lone pair of two electrons in the nitrogen outer shell away from the overlaps.

Why this answer loses marks

Put the non-bonding pair on a hydrogen atom.

The official scheme rejects a lone pair on hydrogen; the two non-bonding electrons belong on nitrogen.
