Marking points

  1. 1 Places CO and NO₂ as reactants and N₂ and CO₂ as products.
  2. 2 Uses the balancing ratio 4 : 2 : 1 : 4.

Why this answer loses marks

Uses the right substances but leaves unequal atom totals.

Correct formulas can earn partial credit, but the coefficients must make every element balance.
