Connecting Meters in an LED Circuit
A student investigated how the current in a red LED varies with the potential difference across the LED. Figure 3 shows an incomplete diagram of the circuit used.

- 2 Adds a correctly symbolised ammeter in series with the LED.
Why this answer loses marks
Connects the voltmeter in series or the ammeter across the LED.
The voltmeter must be connected across the LED, while the ammeter must be in series with it.
