  2. 2 Explains scheme actions that improve food supply.
  3. 3 Links actions to sustainability, not just food production.

Full-mark answer

In Bangladesh, rice-fish farming makes food supply more sustainable because fish live in the flooded rice fields and their waste fertilises the rice. Farmers get both rice and fish from the same land, improving diet and food security without needing large external inputs. The system can continue year after year because nutrients are recycled and farmers can maintain it locally.

Why this answer loses marks

Uses a large-scale scheme or lists facts without linking them to sustainability.

The answer must use a local scheme and explain why its supply improvement can last.
