Full-mark answer

Urban greening can create safer recreation and travel routes. In Figure 5 the disused Holbeck Viaduct could become a green route into Leeds, giving walkers and cyclists a safe way into the centre. Park areas and planting could improve quality of life, make a derelict area more attractive and increase biodiversity. Similar schemes can also encourage investment because the area becomes a more pleasant place to live and work.
