The revealing of horrible deaths
Extract 1 from An Inspector Calls takes place moments after Sheila re-enters the room in Act One and the Inspector reveals Eva Smith's death. Extract 2 from Playing Sandwiches is Wilfred Paterson's monologue remembering a body found in the park, a conversation with his wife Janet, and a meeting with a mother and child.
Compare how the revealing of horrible deaths is presented in these two extracts. You should consider: the situations and experiences faced by the characters; how the characters react to these situations and experiences; how language and dramatic features create effects.

Why this answer loses marks
Both deaths are shocking and make people upset.
This is too general: it misses the contrast between reactions and does not analyse the dramatic handling of each revelation.
